1. Who we are
Affordable Kitchens is a kitchen remodeling and window replacement company with a showroom at 129 N Hale St, Wheaton, IL 60187. You can reach us at (630) 890-3379. In this policy, "we," "us" and "our" mean Affordable Kitchens, and "website" means affordablekitchensandwindows.com.
2. Information we collect
What you tell us. When you fill out the form on our website, we collect what you enter:
- your name, phone number and email address
- your ZIP code
- your project type and approximate budget range
- how you'd like us to reach you (call, text or email) and the best time to reach you
- your message about what you'd like to change
- whether you agreed to receive text messages
Only your ZIP code, name and phone number are required. Everything else is up to you. When you send the form, we also note which page you sent it from, the website that referred you, and the date and time. If you call, text or email us, we keep a record of that conversation so we can help with your project.
What the website collects automatically. Like most websites, the platform that runs our site automatically collects basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit. It does this with cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- respond to your questions and requests
- schedule your consultation, at your home or at our showroom
- prepare estimates and provide our services
- communicate with you about your project
- keep our business records
- understand how people use our website so we can improve it
With your consent, we also use your phone number to send you text messages about your inquiry or project, as explained in the next section.
4. Text messages (SMS)
We only text people who ask us to. Here's how our text messaging works:
- How you opt in: by ticking the optional text-message box on our website form, which is never checked in advance, or by otherwise giving us your permission, for example by telling us you'd like to get texts.
- What we text about: scheduling your consult, appointment reminders, and updates on your project.
- It's your choice: Consent is not a condition of receiving a quote or any service. You can request a consult without agreeing to texts.
- How often: Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opting out: Reply STOP to any of our texts to opt out at any time. You'll get one final text confirming that you've been unsubscribed, and then no more texts from us. If you'd like texts again later, tick the text-message box on our form again or let us know.
- Help: Reply HELP for help, or call us at (630) 890-3379.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
The only exception is the service providers that help us deliver our text messages, such as our messaging platform. They handle this information only to send and support our messages, and they may not use it for their own marketing.
Mobile information sharing statementNo mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services, keep our business records, or meet legal requirements. After that, we delete it or no longer keep it in a form that identifies you.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, such as limiting who can see customer records and choosing established service providers. Still, no website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we can't promise that information will never be lost or accessed without permission.
9. Your choices
- See, correct or delete your information: contact us using the details in section 13 and tell us what you'd like. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we may keep some records when the law requires us to.
- Stop text messages: reply STOP to any of our texts at any time.
- Stop emails: reply to one of our emails, or contact us, and ask us to stop.
10. Children's privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Links to other sites
Our website links to other sites, such as Google Maps for directions and our Facebook page. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
